Discover Perth: The Pinnacles and more by Samira

My adventure started at 6:30, that’s when I met Sarsha, the tour guide, and six other people going on the tour - Tim, Laura from the UK, Karson Chan and his mom and friends from Hong Kong. This is one thing I love about being here in Perth you always get to meet new people from different backgrounds and cultures!

The weather was fantastic although it was a bit cold for someone like me who is used to the hot Middle East weather but I like it when it's a bit fresh. We arrived at the Maze Wildlife Park where we pet the koalas and saw an amazing kangaroo fight! I've never seen that before it was astonishing.
We also met the emu's and got to know that they eat glass shards and bit of metal to help their digestive system get cleaned up.

After a great walk at the park we set for a morning tea. The sky started to rain heavily while we were sitting under the shade having our breakfast, you can imagine the beautiful atmosphere!
We continued our journey to the rock lobster factory where we stood directly above 200 tones of live lobsters while they are processed. We saw how they are sorted, cleaned and packed out to be exported to the world. Lobsters are sorted by their size not quality!
After the tour at the lobster shack we had barbeque for lunch then we continued our journey to the pinnacles.

Despite the long journey to the pinnacles, time passed very quickly. I enjoyed the road side view of the WA's great landscape. The green farms, bushes, eucalyptus trees then comes the white desert and of 'course the beautiful cloudy sky with a rainbow after the rain had stopped.

When we arrived at the pinnacles we first visited the discovery center where we read about the history of the pinnacles and the animals found at the pinnacles desert. We then went to the pinnacles desert. How fabulous it is! Just amazing!
